About the Role:
We are recruiting for a dynamic Montessori Educator to work as an Educational Assistant in an Early Learning centre in Caulfield. The candidate must align with the philosophy and principles of Montessori Leaning and consistently adhere to Child Safe Standards consistently.
Key duties:
· Support the creation and maintenance of an inclusive, safe, healthy and effective learning environment for all children and colleagues.
· Maintain open communication, undertake additional duties as needed, and provide excellent service to internal and external users of the service.
· Collaborate with team members to ultimately drive best practice and student engagement and development
· Reflect on practice techniques, maintain inclusive environments, and establish effective partnerships with families and the community.
· Keep confidential records, respond to inquiries, and promote the centre professionally.
· Actively participate in the integrated team, ensuring compliance with policies, Child Safe Standards, and the Australian Early Childhood Association Code of Ethics.
Skills & Experience:
- Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent in accordance with the Educational and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Knowledge and understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Current Working with Children check, First-Aid Certificate, emergency Asthma management and Anaphylaxis training
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion, enthusiasm and a strong commitment to high-quality care
- Demonstrated ability to co-operatively contribute to and support a team environment and to work flexibly, both within rooms and according to the needs of the Centre.
- A thorough knowledge of children's development and ability to observe, plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate children's programs.
