A leading Catholic secondary school for girls, located in Camberwell, is seeking a part-time HPE teacher to join the team for Semester Two. Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Health and Physical Education (HPE) lessons in line with the Victorian Curriculum
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting physical health and well-being among students
- Organize and coordinate school sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities
Skills Required:
- A relevant teaching qualification and current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Demonstrated experience in teaching Health and Physical Education at the secondary level
- Strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their personal best in physical education
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
