AddressGanley Group Hospitality in St Kilda is looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to fill our first-ever HR role. This pivotal position offers the unique opportunity to design and establish our HR function from the ground up, with guidance from an external HR Director consultant. This is a Part Time role and can be flexible Part Time hours. Hours can be worked 2 longer days or split into 3 shorter days. 16 hours a week required on site at the Fifth Province, St Kilda.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Advisor who excels at building relationships and navigating both senior and junior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to draft comprehensive plans and execute them independently, demonstrating strong initiative and passion for their work. Energy, enthusiasm, and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for this role. Essential qualifications include experience as an HR Advisor, expertise in employee relations, project management skills, and a background in supporting HR strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations: Provide advice and support to employees and managers on HR Policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Recruitment: Assist with internal recruitment processes, including job postings, interviewing and onboarding.
- Performance Management: Support the performance review process, including documentation and feedback.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and assist in the development and implementation of training programs.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and manage HR documentation.
- Policy Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HR advisor or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hospitality experience advantageous.
- Experience using HR systems - Tanda specifically.
