The Role
We are looking for 2 Permanent Part Time Support Service Workers including cleaning staff, laundry staff, and kitchen hands for (AM and PM) who are passionate about a person-centred approach to care, to join our 96-bed facility in Rockhampton. It is essential that you understand residential aged care environment and standards and have a high level of empathy and compassion for our residents.

What you will do: Cleaning & Laundry Staff:
- Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
- Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
- Cleaning communal and dining areas
- Cleaning and sorting laundry
- Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
- Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
- Completing required documentation and reporting
- Ad hoc support to the broader team as required
- Preparation and presentation of dietary services, including meals and drinks
- Distribution of meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties
- Dining room services
- Providing excellent personalised service to our residents
- Ensure duties are performed in accordance with Infection Control and Food Safety Handling Standards
- Ensure a high standard and quality of cleanliness throughout the organisation.
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment.
- Completion of documentation
- Currently hold an NDIS clearance (or willing to obtain) - MANDATORY
- Current & Valid working rights in Australia - MANDATORY
- Trade certification or qualifications and experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Employment Details:
- Contract Type: 2 Permanent Part Time Contract's
- Hours: 30 per Fortnight
- Days available: Monday - Sunday
- Shift Timings: Morning Shifts: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM & 08:00 AM - 2:30 PM; Evening Shift: 1:30 PM - 7:30 PM
- Salary Range: $24.65 - $26.92 per hour rate (based on experience) + 11% Superannuation + NFP salary packaging + allowances
