Brick Lane has recently created the new position of Part Time Sales Merchandiser to support the wider sales team. Working 24 hours a week this Part Time role offers flexibility within a small, supportive, and collaborative team.

Reporting to the National Field Sales Manager as Sales Merchandiser at Brick Lane you will be responsible for maximizing brand visibility and driving sales growth through sampling in National Retail Outlets. Your main objective will be to execute merchandising strategies to ensure optimal product placement, availability, and promote trial via in-store tastings. You will work closely with the sales team to implement merchandising plans, monitor inventory levels, and build strong relationships with Store Managers to achieve sales targets. 

This field based role will cover the South of Brisbane CBD (from Mount Gravatt down through Helensvale to Coolangatta) and it is essential you have your own car available to use for work.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Merchandising Strategy Execution: Implement and execute the company's merchandising strategy to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. Collaborate with the sales team to develop merchandising plans that align with the overall sales goals and objectives. 
  • Product Placement and Shelf Management: Ensure optimal product placement on shelves and displays to attract customer attention and drive sales. Regularly visit retail stores to monitor and adjust product positioning, ensuring compliance with brand guidelines. 
  • Conduct Tastings and Sampling sessions to help promote Brick Lane Products and Drive Sales 
  • Promotional Support: Execute promotional activities and initiatives in coordination with the sales team. Set up and dismantle promotional displays, conduct product tastings, and engage with customers to drive brand awareness and increase sales. 
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key store managers. Collaborate with them to secure favorable shelf space, promotional support, and brand visibility to maximize sales opportunities. 
  • Collect Customer Information such as email addresses, phone numbers and key personal interests. 

Successful Candidates will have:

  • Previous experience in sales merchandising, preferably in Coles & EDG Liquor stores.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field would be an advantage. 
  • Strong understanding of National Retail environments, including customer dynamics and merchandising best practices. 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
