Location Details: We are currently seeking professional Security/Concierge Officers for multiple positions across our Melbourne CBD and Eastern Suburb shopping centre locations.
Job Description: The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for shoppers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.
Duties include:
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
- Controlling foot traffic, giving directional communication where required.
- Completing reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and activities/incidents.
- Maintaining the organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Shift Details: The ideal candidate will be available to fill shifts from:
Monday-Friday 5:30pm-10:30pm
Saturdays 6am-2pm, and
Sundays 6pm-10:30pm.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid Security License is essential.
- Previous experience in shopping or retail Security/Concierge preferred.
- Industry experience looked upon favourably.
Skills and Competencies:
- A strong and reliable work ethic, punctual and trustworthy.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills.
- Capable of recognising, handling and de-escalating potential security incidents.
Salary Range: Staff will be compensated according to the Security Services Industry Award [MA000016].
