Expression of Interest: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker with a focus on adult learning to join our team. Key Responsibilities: As a Disability Educational Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Providing personalised support to adult learners with disabilities, both in traditional classroom settings and through online or distance learning platforms.
• Collaborating with instructors, facilitators, and other support staff to develop individualised learning plans that accommodate the unique needs and abilities of each learner.
• Assisting adult learners with understanding course materials, completing assignments, and accessing necessary resources and accommodations.
• Creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment where adult learners feel valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
• Employing a variety of teaching techniques, adaptive technologies, and assisted devices to facilitate learning and maximise accessibility for all learners.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing regular feedback to instructors, program coordinators, and other stakeholders.
• Advocating for the needs of adult learners with disabilities and ensuring they have equal access to educational opportunities and resources.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Previous experience working with adults with disabilities in an educational or training setting. (desired not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust.
• An understanding of various disabilities and the challenges faced by adult learners with disabilities in educational settings.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support adult learners in achieving their educational and personal goals.
• Adaptability and flexibility in responding to the diverse needs and learning styles.
