The primary purpose of this role is to research, negotiate and secure new long-term, high-value, partnerships with corporates and major businesses.
The successful candidate will expertly research market gaps and opportunities in Starlight’s partner portfolio, research, identify, build relationships, negotiate, and secure high value partnerships for Starlight. The role will be primarily responsible for new business development from prospecting to contracting and handing over the relationship to be expertly supported by our Partnership Executives.
What important for this role:
- Promoting the Starlight brand & EVP.
- Revenue generation and partner retention
- Strategic approach to deliver the greatest ROI.
- Build long term relationships & create positive Starlight experiences
- Meeting new business revenue targets (including donated goods and services)
- Proactively representing Starlight as an active advocate and ambassador.
- Secure meetings with decision makers at high level prospective partnership organistations
- Strategically generate a healthy business development pipeline
If you are strategic in your approach to Partnership development, and this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you:
- Tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or relevant subject area or similar experience
- Sales, new business development and/or fundraising experience
- Confidence to prepare and present to external groups and individuals
- Ability to research, identify, and build lasting partnerships
- Strong influencing skills and confidence to close deals
- Super organised with Microsoft Office and CRM experience
- Innovative with the ability to work cross functionally on projects
- Professional, flexible, and resourceful
- Superior written and oral communication skills including public speaking
