About the role
Embark on a dynamic 12-month fixed term contract with WA Cricket as we seek an experienced and dedicatedPartnerships Managerto cover a parental leave vacancy.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing the growth and servicing of the Partnerships portfolio for both WA Cricket and the Perth Scorchers. Your primary objective will be to drive commercial success, elevate brand visibility, and implement activation strategies that align seamlessly with defined strategic outcomes.
You will play a key role in developing and nurturing relationships, growing partnership opportunities, negotiating mutually beneficial agreements, and ensuring the seamless execution of partnership initiatives.
Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will align partnership activities with the broader organisational goals, contributing significantly to the overall success of WA Cricket and the Perth Scorchers.
You will
- Build effective and sustainable strong relationships with Perth Scorchers & WA Cricket Partners and stakeholders
- Manage the Partnerships portfolio, including the implementation of contractual benefits and activation elements
- Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies and venues to ensure high level of execution, customer service and fulfilment of all Partner deliverables
- Work with Partners to develop a comprehensive leveraging plan linked with achieving strategic objectives
- Develop and implement new and creative marketing/activation/campaign strategies, methodologies and tactics based on Partner needs, research, data, success rates and market trends
- Identify new strategic partnership opportunities, including commercial, charity, community or cause related programs and deliver them to market effectively, through active support of the sales team
- Oversee partnership reporting for Partners and post-season analysis including brand metrics insights provided by WA Cricket’s research providers
- Oversee promotional activities either led by or involving Commercial Partners, including activities at International, BBL and domestic matches as required
- Lead expansion of partnership portfolio as necessary during progression of the WACA Ground Improvement Project, including onboarding and implementation of new stadium partners
Who we are looking for
- At least five years’ experience working across Commercial and Strategic partnerships
- Marketing, Communication and activation knowledge
- Strong knowledge of the Partnerships landscape
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders, across all levels
- Ability to deliver high levels of client servicing and outcomes focused mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to drive and effectively manage team members
- Previous experience working for an agency, brand or sports rights holder (desirable)
