Job description

Your New Role

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a passionate professional to support our brokers in enhancing their service delivery, wow their customers, and expand their enterprises. You will play a pivotal role in guiding them to refine processes by leveraging our cutting-edge CRM technology and dynamic marketing support.

In this position, you will be tasked with cultivating strong, long-lasting relationships with small business owners, finance brokers, and other industry partners, delivering exceptional customer experiences and spearheading strategic initiatives.

Fostering connections within the industry and staying attuned to market trends, the role also plays a crucial function in the ongoing growth and vitality of AFG by actively bringing new broker members into AFG.

This is an amazing opportunity for individuals looking to oversee and nurture business partnerships with a keen focus on fostering profitable growth, maintaining high business quality, and upholding excellent customer service standards.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Management and performance of your portfolio, with sales and growth targets covering Residential, Commercial/AFG Business, Leasing/AFG Asset Finance and Personal Loans.
  • Develop and build key, trusted relationships, meeting regularly with those in your portfolio to understand their needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Support AFG businesses with one-on-one interactions, helping them drive profitability, business value, process efficiency and productivity; and service delivery with a customer first approach.
  • Use data to drive decision making, using an analytical mindset to provide opportunities to your members.
  • Keeping your broker businesses safe, supporting them to set up and manage their businesses to meet all legal and regulatory requirements, including Best Interest Duties.
  • Understand competitors' products to enhance AFG products and develop strategies for competitive advantage.

Who Are You?

The successful applicant will have the unique opportunity to join a truly innovative company showcasing their ability to develop solutions that meet the needs of our Broker Businesses and the brokers that work within them.

You will utilise your experience and passion to create rewarding partnerships, reshaping the way we deliver value to our brokers and support them in brokering a better future for all Australians.

We know this is a very exciting opportunity, but there are a few things we need from you to help you succeed:

  • Have experience working with small business owners and self-employed professionals, motivating and supporting them to grow their business.
  • Have an understanding/experience in how to help improve processes/workflows in a small business.
  • Be a creative problem solver with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and outstanding verbal and written communication.
  • Have excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Be able to work independently and, at the same time, be a team player.
  • Experience in the brokerage/finance industry is not essential but would be highly regarded.

Get What You Give

AFG employees have access to benefits including flexible working arrangements, secured buildings with end-of-trip facilities, education assistance, employee assistance and wellbeing programs and a social calendar of events. You will have the ability to liaise with and learn from our executive team as well and develop your career.

We offer you a dynamic workplace culture, one that values and leverages unique ideas, capabilities, and experiences. We believe this strengthens our ability to deliver on our business goals, particularly in the realms of innovation, growth and our focus on customers.

Our business prides itself on our innovative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture. Our teams are intricately engaged across the business and we encourage people with ideas and a willingness to learn to join us. All over Australia, our AFG team members love being a part of the business and the length of time they choose to stay with us is evidence of this.

Watch our Working at AFG video below to find out more and hear from those who enjoy being a part of the AFG family.
