Ear Science is a for purpose organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for those with hearing loss and hearing disorders through its clinical, research, education and community activities.
Ear Science is looking for an experienced part-time (0.8 FTE) Partnerships Manager to join our team. This integral role has both strategic and operational responsibilities, focused on building and maintaining the Institute’s many supporters, corporate partners and funders.
About the role:
Working closely with the CEO, you will primarily be focused on building and maintaining the Institute’s fundraising and philanthropy requirements with a focus on donor relations, appeals, driving grants, and philanthropic partnerships.
You will foster relationships with new and long-standing donors, prepare corporate and philanthropic grant proposals in conjunction with our Research and Community teams as well as develop a fundraising strategy which may include oversight of fundraising events.
You will collaborate seamlessly with our Marketing and broader team to develop content for multi-channel marketing external communications, including copy writing and designing for various communication streams.
About you:
Our ideal candidate will have the below demonstrated experience and personal attributes:
- Previous experience in fundraising, philanthropy or other relevant roles.
- Strong written skills, particularly in the area of Research is advantageous.
- Outstanding relationship management and interpersonal skills, including effective and eloquent written and verbal skills.
- Understanding of the philanthropic landscape.
- Efficiency in administration and reporting, with the ability to prioritise and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passion for working in the not for profit sector and a commitment to Ear Science's mission.
- Interest in the area of Medical Research.
- Highly professional standards.
- Motivated to present the organisation to the highest level of excellence.
- Ability to relate to and work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
