About the role

The Pasteurisation manager is the heartbeat of all manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning, coordinating and managing the pasteurisation schedules
- Establishing and managing Quality Control standards in collaboration with the QA Manager
- Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are met
- Driving continuous improvement projects to improve processing efficiencies
- Writing SOP’s and improving on current processes
- Managing the pasteurisation team to ensure all product is made safely, to Quality Standards and without compromising efficiency
- Training and developing the team
- Coordinating the CIP program for Pasteurisation and production vats
- Ensuring allergen protocols and clearances are being followed
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 3+ years’ working in an ice cream pasteurisation/mix room, as a supervisor or manager
- Amazing communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build great relationships with your team members
- Proficient in the operation of a PLC driven pasteurisation plant via a HMI
- Strong mechanical aptitude for PHE’s, homogenisers and other blending equipment
- Excellent organisational skills
- Work calmly under pressure - it can be a demanding role at times.
- A great eye for detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound understanding of HACCP
- Sound understanding of allergen management
