We are a boutique dairy company making a large range of top-end products, our business is a family run business, with strong family values. In line with our expansion plans, we are currently looking for an experienced Pasteuriser Operator to join our pasteurising department. The role involves pasteurising operation for various products whilst adhering to industry regulations and quality systems. A successful candidate must have a relevant knowledge base in the food or dairy manufacturing industry; and a solid knowledge of machinery operating and problem solving.
Role overview
This hands-on position will take part in conducting pasteurisation and batching activities as well as other process related activities.
Requirements
You have a solid experience as a Pasteuriser Operator in the food or dairy industry. Or other high level technical food manufacturing experience. You are familiar with quality systems management, and you have an eye for detail. You possess industry and market understanding; problem solving skills; excellent communication and good interpersonal skills. Your personality comprises of confidence and a 'can do' approach. You have a strong customer focus with the determination to meet your targets and on time.
You are self-motivated with practical approach to getting the work done. You have the experience and ability to manage, prioritise, plan and control activities to ensure work is carried out efficiently. You are very technical and comfortable working with machinery.
You must be either an Australian Citizen or a PR to be eligible to apply for this position.
Required Skills:
- Physically fit (able to stand for long periods of time)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and an eye for detail
- Strong managerial skills
- Strong work ethics and a 'can do' attitude
- Solid communication skills (verbal & written)
- Solid batching and pasteurisation experience
Duties
- Assist in the planning and execution of the daily plans for the pasteurising department
- Maintain a clean, presentable and GMP complied facilities
- Meet standards and stringent deadlines while keeping operational costs at minimum possible level
- Follow all SOP's for all current processes
- Ensure that all pasteurising activities are aligned with the quality system and quality objectives of the business
Qualifications
- Preferably but not a must: a Degree, Diploma or trade qualified
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in line with the above
- Knowledge of quality systems and lean principles
