We are looking for experienced level 1 and 2 PASTORAL CARE practitioners for casual positions across our three SA Calvary hospitals. Casual positions cover leave of permanent staff. Our Pastoral Care team provides a ministry of spiritual and emotional care for patients that is responsive to, and respectful of diverse spiritual beliefs. We work alongside medical, nursing, allied health and other staff to provide this comprehensive approach to healing.
- Provide compassionate, professionally informed and confidential Pastoral Care support to patients, families and carers’, addressing their emotional and spiritual needs, respectful of diverse beliefs, culture and values, especially in times of crisis and towards the end of life.
- Assess, develop and provide care plan in response to identified spiritual needs of patients within routine scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, timely and concise records in accordance with organizational guidelines for data collection and documentation in medical records.
- At least one unit of CPE or equivalent qualification
- Recent experience in hospital-based Pastoral Care
- Demonstrated ability to practice within scope of Pastoral Care role
- Demonstrated sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
