About Christian Brethren Community Services
CBCS is a charitable organisation specialising in providing accommodation and care in residential care and retirement living. We actively advocate for the right of every senior to age in comfort and dignity, wherever and however they live. We value diversity and always welcome everyone, exactly as they are. Why? Because the love of Christ compels us.
Nestled in the heart of Sydney’s Hills District, the CBCS residential care and retirement living facilities provide safe, comfortable, and nurturing environments within a caring Christian setting, where residents can truly feel at home.
The Opportunity
Working across our retirement village and linked residential care facility you will be central to enhancing the quality of life of our residents in our facilities through the provision of emotional and spiritual care to residents, their families and CBCS staff. Involvement in on-site Church services, Bible studies, devotions and coordination of volunteers will also form part of your daily activities. Pastoral Care at CBCS calls for a Christian with a heart of love, who can work both in teams and independently.
About You
This is fabulous opportunity for someone who is passionate about pastorally caring for older people in residential care and independent living. You will be experienced in providing Pastoral Care in an aged care, health or social service environment and understand how to work amongst people with dementia. You will be committed to a local church and the ethos of providing Pastoral Care based on the beliefs and values of the Christian faith. Possession of or working towards a recognised Pastoral Care or counselling qualification would be an advantage.
The Pastoral Carer will promote and respect the vision, mission and values of CBCS and ensure that our values of excellence, respect, care, equity and stewardship are reflected in all duties.
We will create a better future for you!
As a Christian organisation, our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we support them to grow and develop to be their best through our strong commitment to learning, flexibility, great benefits and a positive culture of teamwork and cooperation. Together, we can build a better future for the people and communities we serve, and for you.
