The Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated administrative Patent Assistant to join our Brisbane Chemistry/Life Sciences team on full-time basis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team working closely with our Principals and Patent Attorneys. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and e-filing documentation at IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO
- Drafting basic correspondence
- Preparing, finalizing and sending electronic correspondence
- Management of individual attorney practices and deadlines
- File and matter management
- Preparing and sending invoices
The ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated and a fast and enthusiastic learner. Previous experience as an IP administrative assistant, while highly regarded, is not essential.
Key skill requirements for this role include:
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, and work to deadlines
- Experience using Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
