Position description
We are seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our team on Sydney’s North Shore. You will be an essential team member working in collections centres and hospital settings. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
- Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
- Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
- Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

Alternatively you may be a medical/health science students wishing to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment whilst studying. You will learn high quality patient care and valuable clinical skills in a fast paced, flexible working environment.
Our ideal candidate:
- Is open to working part time or full time hours on a Monday to Sunday between 6am to 10pm.
- Is passionate about healthcare and committed to providing excellent care and service to patients and doctors
- A hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level attention to detail and record keeping skills.

Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- 3 doses of COVID-19 Vaccination and commitment to annual influenza vaccination.
A National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.
Please note, our training program requires a non-negotiable minimum 25 hour per week commitment.
