ABOUT THE ROLE
The Pathways Strategy Project Lead operationalises Chisholm’s overarching Youth Pathways Strategy for Marketing and Communications (Marcomms). This includes researching, writing, confirming and rolling out a current (continuing) and previous (alumni) student internal Pathways Strategy and annual playbook for the Marcomms Student Recruitment and Pathways team that aligns with a broader Chisholm engagement and event strategy. It also assumes responsibility for liaising internally with Chisholm Delivery Business Areas and a cross-departmental workforce of Youth Pathways Coordinators to help promote the available internal study pathways for current and previous Chisholm students to support their next steps toward a longer-term educational journey with Chisholm.
The position will be reporting to and working under the general direction of the Head of Marketing and Communications, and working closely and collaboratively with the Recruitment and Pathways Specialist, the Pathways Strategy Project Lead sources and sets the tone for advice given about Chisholm study pathways and advises on segment-appropriate marketing events and activities that contribute to the achievement of domestic student enrolment targets for Chisholm.
This position also represents the Institute at recruitment events and is a key role in raising the awareness and visibility of the Chisholm brand and study pathways. Some events may be after hours and/or on weekends.
Your key accountabilities under the general direction of the Head of Marketing and Communications will include but is not limited to:
- Develop and implement a current (continuing) and previous (alumni) student internal Pathways Strategy, written in lockstep with the Schools’ Recruitment Strategy (written by the Recruitment and Pathways Specialist).
- Develop an annual playbook of internal pathways activities for the Marcomms Student Recruitment and Pathways team including all relevant supporting marketing and communications tools.
- Socialise and begin implementation of both strategy and playbook, in cadence with Schools’ Recruitment work, to be confident in a full handover to the Recruitment and Pathways team.
- Source and set the tone for advice given about Chisholm study pathways and advise on segment-appropriate marketing events and activities that contribute to the achievement of domestic student enrolment targets for Chisholm.
- Establish and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with internal stakeholders, to develop activities that grow the recruitment pipeline.
- Work cohesively with a small peer team to collectively achieve recruitment goals and guide the efficient running of the unit.
ABOUT YOU
Essential to the role is a relevant degree qualification and experience; or lesser formal qualifications with extensive experience with project management and strategy expertise in a complex organisation; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education /training.
Crucial to your success will be your demonstrated experience in successful strategy creation and implementation with strong interpersonal communication, teamwork and negotiation skills, with a focus on high-quality customer care.
You will have the ability to analyse data, align strategy, and use insights to develop innovations for improvement and implementation together with the ability to influence decision making and gain buy-in in a complex environment.
You will also have the ability to listen to customers/stakeholders, strong written and oral communication skills, superior time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
