A bit about the role
As the Lead Project Management Planner at Wyndham City, you'll take charge of planning approvals for major projects with a specific focus on the Wyndham Stadium Project. Your role involves coordinating approvals across multiple disciplines and acting as the liaison between various stakeholders and departments. You'll ensure compliance with relevant legislation and align all activities with the Council's strategic objectives. Your expertise will drive sustainable development while meeting the community's needs effectively.
What you will deliver
- Process development applications and greenfield subdivisions for the Wyndham Stadium Project.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Council, developers, and stakeholders.
- Interpret planning schemes and policies, offering professional advice.
- Ensure project milestones are met within agreed timeframes.
- Produce reports, manage records, and promote a customer service focus.
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience statutory planning and knowledge of Local Government.
- Experience in Project Management and delivery of major planning projects.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work to prescribed deadlines with competing priorities.
- Degree or diploma course in Town Planning with several years of subsequent relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
