About this role
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Casual Personal Care Attendant in our Cardiac Unit.  In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the nursing staff by assisting with manual patient handling and attending to their daily activities.  All responsibilities are carried out under the direct supervision of nursing staff, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction.  Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal hygiene, bed making and meal assistance
  • Supporting the transportation of patients as requested by nursing staff and/or Ward Clerk
  • Maintaining cleanliness in patient rooms and support service areas
  • Specialling confused patients
  • Assisting in the proper maintenance, storage, and transportation of clean equipment
  • Undertake necessary cleaning duties and managing linen bags

About You

This role is ideal for someone flexible, enjoys collaborative teamwork, thrives in a bustling environment, and possesses a genuine passion for delivering exceptional Patient Care.  Essential requirement for the position include:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively work within a team
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills

Hours

This is a casual role working approximately 20 hours per week.   You will be part of a 7 day roster, covering both early and late shifts.
