A Specialist Plastic Surgery practice located in the heart of the CBD is seeking a motivated and empathetic individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. The Patient Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring a positive patient experience by coordinating appointments, assisting with enquiries, and maintaining effective communication between patients and practitioners.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Opening of the practice
- Diary Management
- Making appointments including collecting and verifying patient information, (including personal details, insurance information, and medical history)
- Invoicing and receipting
- Following up on outstanding accounts
- Prepare all necessary hospital booking forms and consent forms
- Schedule patient surgery bookings
- Manage practitioner theatre lists
- Filing & maintenance of the practice's physical environment
- Other general office duties
- Additional support to the Practice Manager where required
Selection Criteria:
- Genie experience
- MAC OS friendly
- Tech savvy
- Understanding of Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing
- Effective organisation and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- A strong focus on providing excellent customer service to patients, addressing their needs, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation and impeccable attention to detail
- Attention to detail in managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating care.
- Awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds to provide inclusive and respectful.
- Understanding and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in healthcare.
- Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or Cosmetic/Plastic surgery is desirable.
The role is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm.
