Eye Surgery Associates (ESA) supports a group of highly qualified, experienced ophthalmologists committed to providing excellence in sub-specialty eye care. ESA enables the ophthalmic practices based at its premises to offer a broad range of specialist eye services that respond to the medical and surgical eye care needs of the community.
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Patient Services Manager to become a valued member of our management team at ESA. In this pivotal role, the Patient Services Manager will spearhead a seamless and compassionate patient journey, both in our front-of-house and back-office administrative operations. We prioritise excellence, ensuring that every aspect of our patient experience is not only efficient but also conducted with empathy & warmth.
Reporting to the Executive Administration Manager, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding customer service acumen, exemplary leadership qualities and a passion for process improvement. Previous experience working in a similar role within a medical/surgical practice or hospital will be favourable. This role will involve spending time at each of our 4 sites located in Malvern, East Melbourne, Doncaster and Vermont.
Duties include:
- Overseeing day-to-day administrative operations, including rostering and resource allocation of reception, telephony, general admin tasks, email referrals & enquiries and medical typing.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline administrative processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Providing regular coaching, guidance, support, and training to staff as needed.
- Monitor and analyse administrative performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and execute corrective actions.
