A role with unique responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering high quality administration services to patients, clinicians and other stakeholders. Working closely with the Business Manager to lead, mentor and develop the Patient Services team whilst also assisting to ensure operational readiness, drive operational efficiency and best practice as well as implement growth initiatives as required over time.
It is an exciting time to join our practice, having just moved to brand new state of the art, custom built premises, this is an amazing time of growth, expansion and change.
Under guidance from the Business Manager and our highly experienced and sought after Clinicians, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the front of house, telephony, reception and administration services for the practice, ensuring a best in class care and patient experience
- Drive culture, lead, manage, empower and develop the front of house, administrative function of the business, fostering a cohesive and engaged team
- Communicate and role model business objectives, performance expectations, policies and procedures to the team
- In consultation with the Business Manager, make decisions and solve problems that arise in the day-to-day management of the business, including patient feedback
- Work closely with the Business Manager to address patient feedback and complaints;
- Ensure consistency of practice and timely delivery of processes such as quoting, invoicing, payments and claiming
- Address Medicare and billing issues as they arise
- Ensure end of day settlements and troubleshoot any discrepancies
- Positively contribute to the continuous improvement of work practices, procedures and systems;
- Assist with rostering and time sheet approval; and
- Ensure competencies and professional standards are maintained within the Patient Services Team.
The ideal candidate will see their role as vital to the success of the organisation. Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, our Patient Services Team Leader will bring a wealth of experience to a fast paced, growing private medical practice. Ideally you will bring the following:
- 3+ years proven experience in in healthcare administration or management, preferably in a related setting, in a leadership role;
- Strong understanding of Medicare and Private Health Billing;
- Demonstrated track record of leading and developing others to achieve exceptional results in patient/customer service delivery
- A critical eye for detail
- Motivation, enthusiasm and the ability to meet set goals/targets
- Willingness to do more than what is required or expected
- Dedication to ensuring caring, effective and efficient delivery of services
- Collaborative approach to problem solving
- Well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Superior organisation and time management skills with proven ability to multitask
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, previous experience with Genie Medical Software desired
