The team:
Our Disability Support Team of Leaders includes dedicated people who are passionate about helping others. They provide leadership, support and guidance to a dedicated group of support workers and provide information and support to YellowBridge clients and their families.
The role and you:
In this position you will be required to deliver a high standard of service to people with disability and their families. You must have great leadership skills, show initiative and understand the unique requirements of each person's support. You must be able to identify key relationships and coordinate service delivery for allocated clients for Disability Services. You will be required to adhere to high quality workplace health and safety standards, participate in professional development and be an honourable representative of YellowBridge QLD in the community.
Position Requirements:
- Delivery of quality disability support for individual clients, including relevant advocacy on behalf of clients and families
- Lead a team of Disability Support Workers including assistance in identifying professional development opportunities
- High level leadership skills and ability to support and motivate team members in service delivery and dedication to YellowBridge values
- High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a multifunctional team and interact with a broad cross-section of people
- Current knowledge of NDIS planning and budget delivery, ability to monitor client budgets
- Experience with maintaining records of service delivery
- Ability to collect and evaluate data
- Ability to effectively roster Support Workers to relevant shifts and clients depending on abilities and availability
- Minimum of Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- Professional leadership training will be an advantage
