The Opportunity
We are looking for highly motivated Patient Transport Officers to contribute to the safe transfer of patients in a variety of situations in the North Ryde Region. Make a difference by doing what you love.

You’ll be responsible for providing safe and timely transport of patients and contribute to the delivery of quality care and excellence in customer service within a cost effective and efficient environment.
Due to operational requirements, there will be instances where you be required travel to another hub within the Sydney region and will be required upon notice.
Preferred candidates are required to be successfully fit tested to an approved respirator prior to gaining employment with Patient Transport Services. The testing will be arranged and booked through Patient Transport Services during the recruitment process. Successful candidates must maintain a cleanly shaven face to obtain an adequate seal to the approved fit tested respiratory throughout their employment.

Eligibility Requirements

- Candidates must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Permanent roles are open to Australian citizens and permanent residents, while temporary and casual roles welcome applicants with a visa.
- This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening. Refer to NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11) for a complete list of required vaccines. Targeted Questions
- Possession of a current senior first aid certificate.
- Possess an unrestricted NSW Manual Light Rigid Driver Licence prior to commencing employment and, without incurring more than six demerit points in the last three years or a licence suspension/cancellation in the last two years.
- Outline your experience conducting manual handling skills (i.e., loading/unloading, and manoeuvring patients around, on/off stretchers and in/out of wheelchairs).
- Provide an example of a time you demonstrated well-developed basic literacy skills including reading and writing skills and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills to a stakeholder.
- Ability to work seven-day rotational roster including public holidays, early morning commencement and late evening completion time and a reasonable amount of overtime.

COVID-19 Vaccination Compliance
All NSW Health workers must provide evidence of a COVID-19 primary vaccination course (2 doses) which have been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).
