The Role
We have an opportunity for a Payroll & Finance Officer to join our Finance team based in our headquarters in Mulgrave, Victoria. This is a part-time role, 2 days per week, preferably Mondays and Thursdays, reporting to the Finance Team Leader (CFO).
As the Payroll & Finance Officer you will be responsible for managing, maintaining and maximising the accuracy of all team members and strategy pays, claims and accounts for PTC and its subsidiaries. The position requires excellent customer service in responding sensitively and timely to all payroll-related queries from our team members and strategies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MYOB, Xero or similar payroll systems as well as Excel.
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- All payroll and PBI Fringe benefits
- Payroll and claims reimbursement process documentation and payments
- End of month processes including STP, superannuation, payroll reconciliations and monthly payroll reports for all entities
- End of year reconciliation and reporting, including Workers Compensation
- Apply advanced problem solving skills to payroll processes and systems to resolve any service delivery issues
To be successful:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in the not-for-profit sector
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite or similar system (preferred but not essential)
- Update finance systems process journals, systems notes and documentation
- Assist with ongoing payroll and claims systems process development and improvements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for effective relationship building with team members, vendors and stakeholders across all levels of PTC
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively plan and prioritise work activities and multi-task
