About the Role
The Payroll Governance team applies formal accountability to payroll service delivery to ensure compliance to ANZ standards and regulatory requirements, performs operational reporting and risk management activity across all ANZ geographies. The delivery of this work is supported by a broad understanding of all parts of Payroll delivery across ANZ inclusive of but not limited to payroll regulatory application, ANZ policy, ANZ risk and ANZ vendor management.
As a Payroll Governance Specialist, you will be supporting the delivery of the Payroll Governance Framework and key payroll operational reporting, metrics, and risk indicators.

What will your day look like?
As a Payroll Governance Specialist, you will support:
- The delivery of the Payroll Governance framework (monitoring and control activity) and payroll standards, to ensure payroll outcomes are compliant against local regulatory requirements and ANZ policy/standards.
- The delivery of key operational reporting to monitor payroll analytics, outcomes, metrics, risk indicators and trends
- Embedding the use of payroll best practice
- Complete, improve and enhance regular processes
- Manage ad hoc tasks, reviews and interact with business stakeholders, wider team and SMEs
- Deliver timely and accurate results in a coordinated way
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Solid Understanding of payroll industry best practice with proven payroll experience
- Knowledge of a large ERP/Payroll system (SAP Success Factors would be an advantage)
- Knowledge of payroll processing, understanding of tax and superannuation requirements
- Technical payroll ability and understanding of the change management process
- Ability to work within a team while supporting onshore & offshore teams
- Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks, possible solutions, and corrective actions
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, flexibility in approach and to adapt to ever changing business demands
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong MS excel skills
