Hugely successful property business looking for an experienced Stand-Alone Payroll Manager to look after their payroll function. Fab culture & Manager
Due to continued success, one of the largest and most respected property businesses in Australia, spanning much of the eastern seaboard, is after a new Stand-Alone Payroll Manager.Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for the preparation, coordination and end to end processing of the weekly payroll (250+ employees).
Responsibilities Include:
- Process end to end weekly payroll.
- Maintain payroll records, systems and employee data.
- Liaising with our team on pay related queries.
- Produce weekly and monthly payroll reporting.
- Maintain compliance with statutory obligations.
- Monthly lodgement of Superannuation and processing of associated entries.
- Process payroll journals into the accounting system and reconciliation of payroll related general ledger accounts.
- Responding to ad-hoc payroll queries from employees and government agencies e.g., Human Services for child support and parental leave.
- Prepare and lodge Payroll Tax returns for NSW and QLD on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and lodge Workers Compensation returns for NSW and QLD on a yearly basis.
- Maintaining written payroll processing procedures.
- A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated experience in payroll with 200+ employees.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proven confidentiality, honesty and integrity.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of payroll standards and legislation
- Ability to manage time effectively and work to deadlines.
