ABOUT YOUR ROLE
We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity in our payroll team and are looking for an experienced SAP Payroll Officer to join the team to support fortnightly and monthly payroll. You will report into the payroll manager and be responsible for the end-to-end management and processing of payroll for all EBA (Enterprise Bargaining Agreement), Fortnightly & Monthly paid employees, and delivering high-quality comprehensive payroll services within the regulatory framework.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Working as part of the team to run full end-end payroll processing for monthly & fortnightly payrolls for up to 5000 employees are accurate and on time. This will include deduction listings, payments, reconciliations and more.
- Continuously seeking to improve our payroll processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and a strong customer service drive.
- Resolving payroll related payment queries through our case management system
- ATO (Australian Tax Office) compliance (Payroll Tax, Superannuation, PAYG etc)
- Interpretation of Awards, EBA's employment contracts
- Support the Payroll Financial Mid and Year End process and Salary review process.
- Process transactions in relation to superannuation, deductions and provide relevant information to external parties in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
- Setup and maintenance of payroll records including new starters, employee changes and terminations.
- Assisting in payroll projects as required, including clear requirement gathering and strong testing ability.

You will be a highly self-motivated and organised individual looking to take your passion for payroll to the next level! You will have a proven ability to collaborate and communicate well across multiple teams and at different levels, as well as a strong continuous improvement and customer service mindset.
- Proven experience with Australian payroll, ideally within a high-volume environment (circa 2500+ employees)
- Proven SAP Payroll system experience
- Knowledge of Success Factors and Kronos experience preferred.
- Excellent knowledge in application of Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong administration ability, attention to detail and time management
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with excel.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels in the organisation, with a strong focus on customer service.
