The Role
Due to acquisition, a newly created opportunity for an experienced Payroll Specialist has arisen to to join an experienced Payroll team of 12. Duties included:
- Timely processing of Weekly & fortnightly Monthly Payroll
- Review payroll processes and systems to recommend improvements
- Oversee the integration of payrolls onto a central system
- Arrange timely payment of monthly deductions
- Month end reconciliations
- Oversee end of year processes, reconciliations and ATO reporting requirements
- Dealing with all payroll queries and inquiries
- Understand Tax Legislation for Termination/ Redundancy Payment.
- Develop ad hoc payroll reports as and when needed
To be considered for this role you will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Payroll Officer including experience in a large complex, multi award/EA environment. You will ideally have previous experience and knowledge using iChris or Chris 21. You will have intermediate excel skills, a high level of attention to detail and enjoy working in a busy environment.
