Shellharbour Workers’ Club Ltd, encompassing The Shellharbour Club and The Imperial at Clifton, is a leader in the hospitality field operating one of the largest, most successful clubs on the South Coast and our latest iconic Illawarra venue, The Imperial at Clifton.
The Group has a rare opportunity for an accounts enthusiast to join the finance team, in the capacity of full-time Accounts and Payroll Officer.
Role specifics:
In this Monday to Friday role based at The Shellharbour Club, the Accounts and Payroll Officer will form part of the Finance team for the group. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Perform the end to end accounts payable and receivable function.
- Process accurate and timely payroll for all employees.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments.
- Undertake accounts receivable function including generating invoices.
- Daily Bank reconciliations.
- Month end reporting procedures.
- General finance and office administration tasks as required.
To ensure success in your role, you will have a proven track record of accurate processing skills and an ability to manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Your strong attention to detail will be an asset, as well as displaying good time management skills as the role will have a solid focus on data entry. Further to this which will get you over the line, is your ability to be flexible, willingness to learn and in-turn review current procedures to make recommendations that improve processes and improve efficiencies.
The key skills, experience and qualities we are seeking include:
- Exposure to payroll processing;
- Previous experience in an accounts role;
- Microsoft Word/Excel experience- intermediate level;
- Demonstrate a high level of written and interpersonal skills;
- Strong attention to detail with good time management and organisational skills;
- Analytical thinker with the ability to multi-task; and
- Demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, tact, discretion, initiative and sound judgement.
