The Role

A new opportunity as a Payroll Officer is available for immediate start on a casual basis. 

This role will be responsible for supporting and executing the payroll and invoicing function along with providing valuable reporting insights to the Group Payroll and Credit Manager. 

What will every day look like? 

• Timely preparation of payroll files via client portals and through Astute (timesheet management system). 
• Lodgment of Single Touch Payroll on a weekly/fortnightly basis.
• End to end processing of the contractor pay run and invoicing along with the other Payroll Officers.
• Liaising with contractors and clients to address invoicing and payroll enquiries. 
• Responding to emails in the shared mailbox.
• Assist with streamlining of payroll and invoicing processes. 
• Work with the other members of the team to ensure monthly invoicing is completed in a timeline manner. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• Proven experience as a Payroll Officer and experience in invoice management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance.
• Proficient in payroll processing systems and software – Astute experience is desirable.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
