As The Yiros Shop continues to grow, we are seeking a dedicated detail-oriented Payroll Professional with excellent time management skills to join the team at our head office located in South Brisbane on a Part-Time basis.
The Payroll Professional will play a crucial role ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of our Payroll. They will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll processes and providing vital support to the wider teams. In your new role you will add value to the organisation through providing professional, accurate, confidential, and efficient payroll and administration services while meeting statutory obligations.
Your main duties in this role will include:
- Weekly end to end payroll processing including new starters, terminations and deductions & allowances of approximately 500 employees
- Co-ordination of monthly superannuation processing & payment
- Reporting for tax purposes
- Payroll auditing
About the role
This is a Part-Time Permanent position - Working 3 days per week! ( Monday,Tuesday & Wednesday.)
We are conveniently located in the heart of South Brisbane which is walking distance to Southbank bus and train stations.
- Integration of new hires into relevant systems
- Monitoring timecards and exceptions
- Assisting with timecard and employee set up inquiries.
- Daily review of hours and exception reporting
- Reviewing payroll reports and cross-checking HR actions and Payroll changes
- Ensuring timely issuance of payslips
- Investigating and resolving all payroll queries from employees & stakeholders
- Monthly system reconciliation
- Supporting franchisees with payroll processing queries
- Documenting payroll processing procedures
- Checking and approving pay reports
About you
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a fast-paced environment with a payroll of 300+ employees.
- Experience with Payroll system Tanda is desired, but not essential.
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand, interpret and explain payroll and T&A data.
- Proven experience working with awards, Fast Food Industry award desired, but not essential.
- Understanding of STP Phase 2 setup and reporting obligations
- Personable and approachable demeanour
