We are seeking a dedicated, permanent full-time (part-time will be considered for the right candidate) Payroll Specialist to become an essential part of our team.
About the role
In the role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering end-to-end payroll functions with a meticulous focus on accuracy and data integrity. The position reports to the Payroll Manager and can be located at either Margate, Tasmania or Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing end-to-end payroll with utmost accuracy.
- Managing employee records in the payroll and time and attendance systems, ensuring proper establishment of new employees and terminations as needed.
- Ensuring timely payroll processing in compliance with industrial instruments, current legislation, company policies, and procedures.
- Proficiently interpreting multiple enterprise agreements and awards.
- Supporting year end and monthly payroll activities to meet all requirements.
Our ideal candidate with possess:
- Minimum 4 years experience with end-to-end payroll
- Prior experience with Chris21 is preferred
- Sound computer skills including MS Excel
- Understanding of payroll tax would be advantageous
- Demonstrate proficiency in establishing and maintaining employee records in payroll systems.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and understanding multiple enterprise agreements and awards
- Be a team player who can lead and support projects to enhance payroll processes.
