The Role
This is a part time standalone role reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the HR Department and Senior Accountant processing full-function weekly payroll for approximately 230 employees (on an Enterprise Agreement) with a high degree of accuracy.
Key tasks include
- Full end to end processing of weekly payroll for employees.
- Set-up of new employees in payroll system.
- Reviewing and reconciling weekly employee time cards in time attendance system.
- Adherence to payroll polices and the Clubs enterprise agreement clauses.
- End of month and year-end Payroll reconciliations and processing.
- Calculations of payroll tax, superannuation and leave entitlements.
- Terminations calculations and processing.
- Working alongside HR and Finance to provide consultative payroll advice
- Continuously reviewing payroll processes to encourage and implement improvement initiatives.
- Assisting the Finance and HR team with other duties when required.
- Employee training in time in attendance system.
What does the Club need from me?
- Strong Sage MicrOpay experience as well as Time and Attendance systems (Kronos preferred)
- Strong Excel skills – Pivot tables, Vlook-ups
- End to end payroll experience
- Availability to work 3 days per week - Monday to Wednesday.
- Dedicated professional with a warm personality and a positive attitude to work.
- Timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll using Sage Micropay
- Comprehensively understand and apply the Club's Enterprise Agreement
- Ability to work harmoniously with key department staff for the completion of payroll
- Minimum 5 years previous experience as a Payroll Manager/Officer
