About the team
Corporate Services teams at Metro are responsible for providing essential support services that enable the business to function efficiently and effectively. From Safety and People, Marketing and Communication, to Finance and Legal, and IT. Our Corporate Services teams work collaboratively to ensure that the business operates smoothly and as one team.
We are seeking an experienced an Payroll Systems and Compliance Specialist; this role will report directly to the Head of Payroll. This role will play an integral part in supporting the Payroll team and the wider business ensuring that all payroll data and system maintenance is up to date. You'll provide support with hands on systems configuration, data validations, reporting and internal compliance reviews.
About the role
- Support the payroll governance And Compliance frameworks
- Implement all relevant legislation changes into the T&A and Payroll systems
- You'll identify, create and facilitate processes to ensure regular compliance checks are executed and documented to manage any risks associated
- You'll maintain the functional configuration in the payroll system environment and ensure configuration complies with relevant legislation
- Manage the upload of time and attendance data for bulk entry payments and timesheets
- Support regular reviews of employees' leave accruals and balances and ensure integrity of data in all relevant systems
- Own the scheduled Enterprise agreement pay increase process, including preparing data for approvals before loading into relevant systems.
- Demonstrated experience in Payroll Systems And processes.
- Proven experience in ensuring legislative compliance within payroll and/or HR information systems.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Agreements and workforce legislation
- Proven systems, process and reporting capability
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills - including data manipulation and transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective business partnerships and stakeholder management.
- An experienced analyst who is curious, open minded and up to date with current employment and data trends.
- Proven capability of working with integrated Systems And being able to provide insights through reporting.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and managing workload well to achieve deadlines.
- Ability to schedule and communicate work priorities
