The opportunity we have is for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join us on a permanent full-time basis. The function will consist of managing all BAU activities whilst also playing a key role in process improvement.
Key responsibilities
The role will involve taking leadership of the Payroll team with key tasks involving:
- Overseeing the end-to-end Payroll processing of a large payroll function – 4000+ employees, across multiple entities
- Completion of PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover and Superannuation payments
- Ensure relevant Awards and legislation are interpreted
- Develop and strive for process improvement to improve efficiencies
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries
About you
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a similar Payroll Team Leader position along with the following experience skills and attributes:
- Previous experience as a Payroll Team Leader or Supervisor, managing a large payroll function
- Previous experience in leading a strong and efficient Payroll Team
- Strong experience using SAP, essential
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, superannuation, and award interpretation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A commitment to continuous learning and development
