P&C Advisor

Are you passionate about HR and ready to make a significant impact in the dynamic world of education? We're looking for a dedicated People & Culture Advisor to join the team at a leading educational institution, covering a 12-month maternity leave.

The Opportunity
As a People & Culture Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in providing operational support and expert advice to designated client groups. Reporting to the  People & Culture Manager, you will collaborate closely with team members and engage with stakeholders across the organisation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Consult and advise on a range of People & Culture matters including performance management and policy interpretation. 
• Support employee lifecycle processes including contract preparation, ERP (TechOne) management, staff movements and qualifying period reviews.
• Advise on employee relations matters, including performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Support managers in conducting fair and objective investigations into employee grievances and misconduct allegations.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, including Workcover and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential staff records to meet organisational and statutory requirements.
• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, representing the People & Culture team and contributing to organisational strategy and development.

About You:

• Proven experience in an HR advisory role, preferably within education or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment law, and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with HRIS systems; familiarity with TechOne is advantageous.
