Job description

A key leadership role in one of Australia’s largest, most diverse and inclusive agribusiness companies. 
Role 

The Pecan Farming Business Unit Manager is responsible for building and improving the horticultural assets, nurturing and developing people and teams and ensuring the profitability and sustainability of the company’s Pecan farming operations.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Senior operational management experience.
  • Commercial business skills.
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills including the ability to build and manage high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage staff and contractors conducting key farming operations.
  • Good understanding of farming and development and the ability to direct and manage farming teams.
  • Good understanding of agricultural supply chains
  • Strong planning and reporting skills
  • The ability to manage systems to support business expansion and improvement.
  • Personal resilience and the ability to work effectively in rural and remote environments.

Desirable

  • Farming, farm services or agronomy qualifications
  • Prior experience operating farm management software e.g Conservis
