What you'll be doing
The is a non-clinical role with focus on the Peer Supported Transition of Care (STOC) program which supports people following an admission to the Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Past or current personal experience using Mental Health and/or Drug & Alcohol related services.
- Able and willing to share aspects of your personal treatment and recovery experience with others, individually and/or in groups, in a safe and effective way.
- Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective working relationships with a diverse range of people, including the people using Mental Health / Drug & Alcohol services, clinicians, managers and community members.
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to develop and/or deliver education and training.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate group activities across hospital and community settings (eg: for the purpose of social inclusion, rehabilitation, education and /or recovery).
- Computer and internet literacy.
