Thomas Embling Hospital and Ravenhall Prison.
Thomas Embling Hospital, located in Fairfield just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre. Due to our announced expansion, we have a need for experienced, like-minded professionals to join our team. Thomas Embling Hospital is a secure mental health facility, a 134-bed hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation, and continuing care programs. With planned expansion commencing 2024 with a significant increase in access to care, we will have a dedicated Women's service and an additional medium secure men's facility. Forensicare provides specialist forensic mental health services across 12 of Victoria's 14 prisons, with expansion underway to include Western Plains in the Barwon region. This position, based at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, provides 75 prison-based custodial mental health beds as well as assessments and outpatient services in a maximum-security forensic mental health complex within the medium-security prison.

Duties:
- Support consumers 1;1 or in a group setting
- Use own lived experience to provide hope to consumers in recovery
- Be part of a Multi Disciplinary Team with consumers at the centre of care
About You:
- Have a lived experience as a consumer or carer within the Mental Health or Criminal Justice systems
- An understanding of the consumer movement, human rights and Mental Health and Wellbeing Act.
- Commitment to consumer recovery, with the consumer at the centre of care
- Ability to work in a team environment
