Did you know that 1 in 10 fathers/partners experience perinatal mental health challenges? Peach Tree are currently seeking a Dad's BranchPeer Worker with lived experience of mental health challenges and/or supporting a partner with mental health challenges related to becoming a parent and/or parenting infants and young children.
Our Dad's BranchPeer Worker position is an opportunity to draw on your own lived experience to deliver peer support initiatives which are deeply engaging and valuable for fathers and partners navigating mental health challenges during the perinatal period. We provide a trauma informed, welcoming, non-judgmental environment for parents to connect and discuss perinatal mental health and parenting challenges freely and openly.
Chiefly based at Nundah, and working across our Caboolture and Mt Gravatt sites, the Peer Worker role is a 15 hour per week position with the option to salary sacrifice. The role is remunerated at level 3.1 of the Social, Community, Home Care, and Disability Services (SCHADS) Industry Award.
Reporting directly to the Dad's Branch Team Leader, the Peer Worker is a key role within our new Dad's Branch team and will enjoy membership within the broader Peer workforce within Peach Tree.

This position is an identified Lived Experience role; under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for this role to have personal lived experience of perinatal mental health challenge(s) and recovery to inform their work. Lived experience must include a story of hope, healing and resiliencey.
