About

We are seeking a dedicated People and Culture Assistant to join our People and Culture team. This role will support various HR functions, contribute to a positive work environment, and ensure efficient HR operations. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and passionate about enhancing the employee experience. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives on creating and sustaining excellent working relationships across all areas of our business. Your passion for People and dedicated work ethic will be instrumental in this role. 

are-able will provide comprehensive induction and training for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Support onboarding processes by preparing new hire documentation and facilitating orientation sessions.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems.
  • Assist in organising employee engagement activities and events.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and initiatives.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support performance management processes and employee development programs.

  • HR Qualifications: Relevant HR studies are a plus but not essential.
  • HR Functions: Experience or ability to perform various HR tasks.
  • Recruitment Experience: Skilled in screening, scheduling, and reference checking.
  • Administrative Skills: HR admin experience is highly regarded.
  • Legislation Knowledge: Familiar with employment laws and HR developments.
  • HRIS Proficiency: Comfortable using HR Information Systems and databases.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: High accuracy in work outputs.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality in HR practices.
  • Cultural Competency: Commitment to workplace diversity and inclusion.
