As a People and Culture Generalist at our organisation, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. We're seeking a proactive and empathetic HR professional who is dedicated to championing our core values and nurturing our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate and Drive People and Culture Initiatives: Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace culture. Conduct cultural assessments, feedback sessions, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure alignment with our values.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, prioritising candidate experience and cultural fit. Facilitate seamless onboarding processes to integrate new hires into our unique work culture.
Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor, fostering open communication and addressing concerns with empathy. Proactively manage and resolve employee relations matters to maintain a positive workplace environment.
Performance Development: Collaborate with teams to develop performance management strategies focused on employee growth and goal achievement. Provide guidance to managers on effective coaching and development techniques.
People-First Policies and Compliance: Stay informed about employment laws and translate them into people-centric policies. Regularly update and communicate policies to ensure alignment with our cultural values.
Award Interpretation: Utilise extensive experience in understanding and applying Modern Awards, specifically SCHADS, Teachers Award & Children's Services Award.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in people-focused HR roles.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices and a commitment to a people-first approach.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
