About the role:

The People & Culture Officer will be responsible for providing all round administrative support for the entire business and human resource functions with focus on recruitment, HRIS and training and development. The People & Culture Officer will work with the People and Culture Manager on key projects with a focus on uplifting and maintaining a positive working culture. Will support the career path planning for a team of professionals while maintaining an approachable working attitude for day to day employee queries.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating end-to-end administration across the employee life cycle including onboarding for new starters, induction requirements, probation check in, and off-boarding administration process (Exit documentation and Exit Interviews)
  • Drafting of employee amendment letters and contract variations
  • Assisting department auditing of employee files and records.
  • Supporting the recruitment and selection process including drafting of advertisements, shortlisting applications, scheduling interviews and notifying applicants of their application status.
  • Co-ordination of company vehicle leasing.
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with department managers and assist with Training and Development plans, including some delivery and design of Training
  • Support payroll processing 
  • Ensuring HR System is updated and maintained with all employee changes (Positions, Hours, Banking Information, Salaries, Superannuation, Tax File Information, Reporting Lines, and Addresses etc.)
  • Attend to employee HR System queries
  • Assist with HRIS updates, testing and upgrades
  • Keep up to date with employment laws and assist with the review of company policies, procedures, contracts templates and any other linked documentation.
  • Monthly updating of Organisational Chart
  • Assist with the implementation of an integrated Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
  • Working with the People and Culture Manager on Key Department projects and Adhoc employee queries

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Aspire to be a HR professional in a fast pace environment
  • Attention to detail with good organisation skills
  • Communicate proficiently in writing and verbally to all levels of the business (Internal/External)
  • Be able to prioritise tasks daily
  • Experience dealing with employee issues and employee confidentiality
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience using Chris 21 or IChris (considered favourable)
  • Must have an approachable, bubbly and positive attitude

Qualifications / Other requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification or working towards a HR tertiary qualification is essential.
