Graduate - People, Culture & Development Projects OfficerAre you a recent graduate with a passion for human resources and highly motivated to gain exposure to a variety of people-focused projects?
Knox City Council is seeking a motivated individual to join our People, Culture & Development (PCD) team.Your new roleIn this highly collaborative role, you will apply project management principles to support the planning and delivery of key projects to drive successful outcomes within PCD, and the wider organisation. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, take initiative in their work and approach projects with a curious mindset.Whether you are collaborating on project plans alongside our PCD team members, preparing progress reports related to our Gender Equality Action Plan and Reconciliation Action Plan, reviewing the e-learning platform to identify improvements for our people experience, or gathering and analysing data for project evaluation, no two days will be the same in this exciting opportunity.Working closely with a dynamic team where a growth mindset, ongoing development and connection are highly valued, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the diverse community of Knox. As champions of learning and development within Knox City Council, we are keen to facilitate and inspire success in the right candidate by providing mentoring, support and autonomy to kick start your HR career.This is a full time temporary role until 17/3/25 based at the Knox Civic Centre however we can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.This is a Band 5 classified role, remuneration will start from $75,948 (plus superannuation in accordance with the superannuation guarantee) with the opportunity to progress to the next level within 6 months subject to satisfactory performance.What you will need to thriveThe key selection criteria for this role are:Demonstrated ability to support the development and coordination of project plans, reports and project communications.Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.Excellent computer literacy skills, ability to learn systems quickly and a keen eye for data.A continuous improvement mindset and dedication to improving the services and initiatives offered by PCD.Demonstrated commitment to working in a way that reflects Knox City Council's culture and values.A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources and/or Project Management completed within the last 5 years (or due for completion within 6 months).Previous experience in a project support or HR related role is highly desirable, but not essential.Please provide a resume and brief cover letter addressing the 'what you need to thrive' section from the position description to outline how your experience and skills relate to the role.For further information on this role please contact Steven Johnston at Steven.JohnstonTo view a copy of the position description please visit our Knox City Council Careers Page.Apply by: 11.55pm, 05/05/2024
