About the Division
The People Strategy and Operations (VPS) Division is responsible for managing HR operations and providing strategic support for both corporate staff and accommodation services. It oversees corporate environments, sustainability initiatives, payroll, recruitment, policy development, workplace relations, and workforce management. Operating under a values-based framework, the division prioritizes meeting client needs and improving policies and processes, to deliver on our corporate responsibilities.
It's an exciting time to join the People Services branch, which manages payroll, people operations, talent acquisition and HR services with the goal of attracting and retaining top talent, whilst nurturing a culture of high performance and innovation. The branch is currently implementing a new innovative operating model to introduce more efficient work methods and enhance its service delivery to the business.
About the Role
Are you wanting to really set your career in HR services in the right direction? Then this role is for you. You will play a pivotal role in the People Services standard provided to all employees of the department. You will work in a small team with collaboration across the whole People Services branch for ensuring exceptional client services.
As the People Services Advisor, you will:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for People Services enquiries.
- Provide guidance and advice on People Services matters to a diverse VPS corporate workforce.
- Effectively prioritise and manage all initial People Services enquiries within established SLAs, with accurate and timely service.
- Escalate complex cases to subject matter experts in People and Payroll Operations or Talent Acquisition, as necessary.
- Identify emerging people trends and provide input to continuous improvement of level 0 service support.
Capabilities
Can you demonstrate the ability to triage People Services enquires, interpret, and communicate policies effectively, and uphold a deep understanding of HR processes? You will proactively assess and respond to client needs, cultivate collaboration and teamwork and excel in problem-solving, all while demonstrating adaptability, responsiveness, and a dedicated customer-centric approach.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- A Tertiary qualification in HR or similar
- Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, high performing payroll, HR advisory or talent acquisition function
- Strong knowledge and understanding of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Proven ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to interpret and convey specialist HR concepts and policies to diverse stakeholders.
- Effective problem-solving capability to resolve or escalate operational service queries.
