The role
Offer guidance and direction and drive the uplift of business capability, metrics and measurements alongside a business unit. Leveraging a deep understanding of drivers and measurements of that business unit or function, this role will provide governance for metrics relied upon by the business, ensuring they are 'fit for purpose' as well as used and applied appropriately. The Performance Partner role is considered an extension of the business unit or function.
Through strong working relationships with the wider BPAR Team and Financial Management stakeholders, this role will offer thought leadership for the development of reporting and targets that effectively drive performance at both the operational and initiative level.
What you’ll do
- Liaise closely and build strong working relationships with the Claims leadership team, to ensure thorough working knowledge of existing business performance metrics and the identification, articulation and development of new ones as needed
- Help build a culture focussed on improved use of reporting tools and metric purposes to better understand business results
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to shape the design and execution of effective Business Intelligence (BI) assets and associated processes, whilst proactively identifying and addressing potential barriers to progress
- Lead and provide guidance on the design and development of benefits tracking of key initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with BI community (incl. Financial Management)
- Ensure business metrics are fit for purpose and provide support for business metric & target setting (scorecards, business cases, business initiatives etc.) as appropriate
- Represent the department in key BI projects, initiatives and forums as required and aligned to financial results of the business
What you’ll bring
- Relevant degree in related discipline (e.g. Business/Economics/Finance/Statistics) (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar decision-making role (mandatory)
- Experience and deep understanding of a reporting related function (mandatory)
- Experience in managing senior management and stakeholders (mandatory)
- Experience in coaching and mentoring of people (mandatory)
- Experience in a business or multi-channel support role (mandatory)
- Experience in an equivalent Leadership position (highly regarded)
- Experience working within a Claims operational environment (highly regarded)
- Experience in projects and change programs (desired)
