Capital Football is the governing body for Football, including futsal, in the ACT and surrounding regions and is a member of Football Australia. Capital Football operates within a flexible team based environment. There is an emphasis on multi-skilling and mutual support to allow staff to effectively achieve operational objectives.Capital Football is looking for a Performance Programs Coordinator who will be responsible for the strengthening of local football pathways and enhancing participation and performance through the coordination, delivery and support of athlete and coach Performance Programs.Reporting to the Technical Director, your key responsibilities include:
- Provide administrative, operational and logistical support to Capital Football Performance Programs including camps, representative teams and other related projects.
- Develop and implement guidelines, manuals, and policies for successful operation of Performance Programs.
- Ensure effective communication between Capital Football and all individuals involved in Performance Programs.
- Contribute to the establishment of a Coaches Network.
- Have the right to work in Australia. (Evidence required)
- Hold, or ability to gain, and maintain an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
- Understanding of the standards and demands on athletes and coaches at various levels of the pathway from grass-roots, through pre-elite to elite level sport.
- Demonstrated experience in group travel planning, coordination and managing travel budgets.
- Sound administration experience, including budget management, report preparation, record keeping and IT applications.
- Ability to successfully communicate with a wide range of audiences including external stakeholders, parents and partner organisations.
- Sound understanding of modern technical innovations in player and coach development.
- Ability to work well under pressure and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including after hours and weekends.
- Tertiary qualifications in sport management, sports science, human movement or similar.
- Experience delivering a high-performance program at a large club/association level or higher for a minimum of 2 years.
- Knowledge of football in the ACT and Capital Region.
