Requisition ID: REQ484633Closing Date: Sunday 19th May 2024Perioperative Registered Nurse - Anaesthetics and RecoveryCessnock District HospitalAbout the role:Cessnock District Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and proactive Registered Nurse to join their team, within the Theatre Department setting.The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of person-centred, evidence-based nursing care that promotes positive health outcomes in the Operating Theatres.The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team.The Registered Nurse will assist in the provision of supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and will maintain their professional accountability and development in accordance with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Competency Standards. Further to this the Registered Nurse will align their professional conduct with those of the NSW Health CORE Values.Where you’ll be working:

• Cessnock is located only a short distance away from the Hunter Valley vineyards and is the administrative centre of the City of Cessnock Local Government Area. It is a 64-bed facility that provides emergency, surgical and general medical care to the area’s growing population.

Requirements:Our successful candidate will possess the following:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

• Anaesthetic and Recovery experience is preferred.
